Hummingbird helps institutions fight financial crime using better communications and technology.

A set of custom guilloché-style patterns (evoking the feeling of currency) were combined with vibrant gradients and photorealistic illustrations in textural mosaics.—Created in collaboration with SF-based studio Upperquad as part of a new brand language, interactive experience, and a brand new logomark created by Jessica Hische.

01. Custom guilloché-style patterns






Inspired by the look and feel of currency, combined with photorealistic illustrations create rich textural mosaics which serve as the foundational elements of a refreshed brand toolkit created for Hummingbird.





A simple square grid in two different densities act as the base for spot and hero illustrations. The smaller 8x8 density captures simpler ideas while the larger 12x12 grid allows for more visual and conceptual complexity.
